OMHA DEVELOPMENT BOOKING INSTRUCTIONS

Booking Procedure:

• To book a development session, the head coach will need to send an email to development@okotokshockey.com also CC’ing myself at grollins@okotokshockey.com and Blair Scott our VP of Coach Development at tjones@okotokshockey.com 
• The Subject line in the email needs to be formatted as follows: Division - Tier - Team Name - Booking
• • Example: Peewee U13 - T1 - Oilers - Booking
  • For U7 and U9 teams that will be sharing and instructor, please include both teams’ information.
  • Example Novice U9 - B - Oilers and Flames - Booking
• The Body of the email needs to include: Your requested Skill Development Group, Date, Time and Location of the on-ice practice. If it is a request to book Built Strong Athletics for an off-ice session, then please include the requested date and time that will work for your team, and we will do our best to accommodate. Lastly, please include your contact information. (Email and Phone) Example Below

• Once availability has been confirmed, contact information with the Skill Development Group will be provided, and you can discuss with them specific areas you would like them to work on and other ideas you would like to bounce off the instructors.

General Information

• Each team will receive 4 team sessions paid for by the association. To utilize these sessions, the above booking procedure must be followed to ensure every team has equal access to the provided sessions. Any sessions booked outside this procedure will be the responsibility of the team to cover those costs. In addition to your 4 sessions from the association, we encourage you to utilize our development group as much as possible within your team budgets.
• For Novice (U9) Half Ice Practice - You are more than welcome to have a group come out for the full hour or split with the team you are sharing the practice is with
• For TimBits (U7) - Its is recommended to either share with another team on 1/3 ice (30 mins/30mins) or have a combined practice with another team on 2/3 ice for the full hour. Just ensure there are enough coaches on the ice to help support either format.
• If you have already reached to any development groups directly and tried to book a session, please follow the above process today to ensure booking is secured. All booking will be handled through the association.

We will be sending out vendor profiles of all our approved development groups so you can all familiarize yourself with what they have to offer so you can tailor your requests according to how you feel it would best benefit where your team is at.
