U7
U7 practices will be held on Saturdays in Okotoks. U7 games will be held on Sundays in Okotoks, Oilfields Arena (Diamond Valley) and Blackie Arena. Teams will receive 16 games. 6-7 of these games will be road games at Oilfields and/or Blackie.
U9
U9 practices will be held weekdays in Okotoks at either 4:15 or 4:30 PM. Practice times will be determined after Fall evaluations. Practice day requests cannot be accomodated. U9 will receive 22 games.
Travel outside of Okotoks to Oilfields Arena (Diamond Valley) and Blackie Arena will be required for U9 house games. Some games will be held on Okotoks. In town or travel to Oilfields/Blackie will be determined based on player tiering and team placement. Travel can be expected to be around 60% of tier A and B games
11AA
U11AA tryouts are separate from U11 Travel and will take place prior to the travel tryouts.
Okotoks players and players that do not have a U11AA team in their home association are eligible to register for the U11AA tryouts. The fee for the tryouts is separate from the U11 travel fees.
Okotoks players interested in trying out for U11AA must register for the tryout AND U11 Travel at the same time.
Out of Okotoks players can register for the tryouts. If they make the U11AA roster they will be required to register and pay for the U11 Travel division at that time.
U11 Travel Mainstream
Players that make either U11AA or one of the U11 travel teams will be required to log into their RAMP account and pay the U11 Travel fee within 72 hours of making one of these teams. The travel fee covers the additional full ice practice ice the teams receive throughout the season.
U13 Travel Mainstream
Players that make one of the U13 travel teams will be required to log into their RAMP account and pay the U13 Travel fee within 72 hours of making one of these teams. The travel fee covers the additional full ice practice ice the teams receive throughout the season.
U16 CAHL
Please be aware that OMHA will only host a U16 CAHL team if their are enough players registered that can play at this level.
If after registration closes OMHA determines that they are not going to host a U16 CAHL team players will have the option to move to the U18 travel tryouts or to U18 RHL.
Tentative practice schedule for the 2026-2027
U7 - Practices on Saturdays this season instead of during the week, Sundays Jamboree
U9- 2 1/2 Ice practices per week
U11 House- 2 1/2 ice practices a week. *opportunity for additional full ice practices as it becomes available
U11 Travel and U11 Female - 1 full ice and 1 1/2 ice practice a week
U13 House- 2 Shared evening practices a week, * opportunity for additional full ice practices as it becomes available
U13 Travel - 1 Morning practice, 1 evening practice alone
U13 Female- 1 Evening alone practice, 1 shared evening practice
U15 Travel - 1 Morning practice, 1 alone evening practice
U15 Female - 2 Evening practices, one will be shared
U15 RHL - 1 Full ice evening practice a week
U18 Travel - 1 Morning practice, 1 alone evening practice
U18 Female - 2 evening practices, one will be shared
U18 RHL - 1 Full ice evening practice a week
U13AAA-U18AAA Registration
All players interested in trying out for AA and AAA with OOAA or U13AA Foothills teams MUST first register with OMHA in their respective divisions.
Once they have registered with OMHA they can register for the AA/AAA tryouts with OOAA. OOAA registration opens on June 24th. The OOAA website is: www.ooaaoilerhockey.ca
Please note that the U13AAA tryout is invite only. Players that have not recieved an invite can submit a invite request with the following details to lindsaygraw@shaw.ca.
Players name, date of birth, position and the team they played on during the 25-26 season. Once this information has been received it will be passed along to the U13AAA Coaching staff for review.
Division Registration
All players must have a valid Respect in sport parent course/ Shift Forward Course attached to their Hockey Canada profile PRIOR to registering with OMHA.

Note: Players must have been born in 2020 or 2021 to register for U7 for the 2026/2027 season. No exceptions will be made. For all divisions, parents registered their player in the division that corresponded with their birth year, regardless of their skill level. Practice days/times are not determined until teams have been made following evaluations (October). Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate any requests for specific days of the week nor times.

Please note the posted registration fees DO NOT include any team cash calls or fundraising requirements. These amounts will be collected at the team level once the team budgets have been finalized.

3 groups - divided up by division and tier after registration has closed.
The clinics will run from November 1st- February 7th. There is no clinic on November 15th, December 27th, January 3rd.
NEW PLAYERS TO OMHA REGISTRATION STEPS
If you are registering your player for hockey this season and they have NEVER registered in a Hockey Canada Sanctioned program before please follow the below instructions.
STEPS 1/1A MUST BE COMPLETED PRIOR TO REGISTERING WITH OMHA
Any families or participants who have previously registered with a Hockey Canada sanctioned program and are looking for their HCR number can log in to their players Spordle Account obtain the number.
STEP 1
Complete Shift Forward Parent Course. If you have taken the Respect in Sport Parent course for one of your other children please skip to step 1A
Clinic Registration | HOCKEY ALBERTA
STEP 1A
If you have taken the Respect in Sport Parent course for one of your other children and the course is still valid. Please create a Hockey Canada profile for your NEW to hockey player.
Create HCR Number | HOCKEY ALBERTA Click on Register now (below bar) add a player
Once you have created your new players Hockey Canada number please log into your Respect in Sport Parent course and under the child management section add your new player. You will need their newly created Hockey Canada number to link your existing RIS parent course to your new player.

Register with OMHA once registration opens on June 22nd

Examples of residency documents are:
Driver’s License for Father
Driver’s License for Mother
School registration at a school in or near the residence for the current year
Proof of mail delivery by Canada Post at residence (Box numbers are not acceptable)
Telephone bill for land line service at residence
Cable or Internet bill for service at residence
Utility bill for service at residence
Lease agreement for residence in parent(s) name(s)
Current property tax notice in parent(s) name(s)
Homeowner/Renter’s insurance policy for residence
Void cheque with residence address
Vehicle registration with residence address.
Any other documentation which supports your claim to residency at the address
